June Photography Challenge Day 16: Long Exposure

To accomplish long exposure, all you need is a slow shutter speed and movement. Most long exposure shots are done at night, using lights. You may see it used with fireworks, car headlights in traffic or shooting stars. I personally love people movement, like this one from a fellow challenge participant.

You’re not going to see me take a lot of long exposure shots. You know I love the super sharp, clean lines of a face and eyes. Landscapes and night shots are not my thing. I almost skipped out on today’s photo because I didn’t think I would enjoy it. But I went for it late tonight and I became fascinated with the kinds of shapes I could accomplish with my camera. You should see all the photos I took! It was rather fun actually 🙂 So here are a few examples of what you can do with a slow shutter speed and some twinkle lights.
