The session fee covers your family/maternity/engagement session. It covers the time that I spend to prep for your session, our calls, online meetings, etc. You also can browse my "client closet" where I have a select few dresses that photograph beautifully.
Portraits, wall art, albums and digital files are purchased separately at our in-person "Reveal and Design" appointment that happens the day of your session or a few days afterwards.
That is the short version of how pricing for your session goes. But you can keep reading for more details!
Before our session we'll have a series of phone calls to get to know each other. I don't just want to take your photos, I want to be your photographer and to be allowed into your most special moments.
How can a photographer capture how you feel about each other if they don't know you?
We'll also talk about how you want to display these memories.
Would you like to create a romantic wall of photos in your bedroom, adding to the sanctuary you share with your love?
Is there a place over the mantle, ready for something new?
Or would you like an album, so you can show your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for years to come?
After our session, we will meet, sometimes that very day, and you'll view a slideshow of the connections you made with your family.
Then comes one of the best parts, you purchase only the photos that you are in love with.
I am there to facilitate how to best display those photographs, but my goal is that we would have already decided that by the time we have your slideshow and purchasing session.
After your artwork arrives to my studio, you can come pick it up, or I even offer home installation.
From start to finish, I'm there to make this as smooth as possible for you.
How do we schedule a session?
First, thank you for choosing me as your photographer!
Second, click the "contact" tab above and send me an email. That will get the ball rolling on your session.
The creative fee is due to reserve your session and hold your date.
Where will we have our session?
If we are planning a newborn session, then it will be in your home!
No need to have a perfectly decorated house, or a perfectly put together nursery.
All I need to take stunning photos is your sweet baby, some loving arms to hold her with (yours!) and a natural light source (like a window.)
If we're planning a family or maternity session, then we will have it at one of my favorite outdoor locations in the Roseville, Rocklin, Auburn or Meadow Vista area.
Do you have a location in mind? Let's chat about it.
What should we wear?
My main piece of advice is that mom chooses her outfit first!
Wear one of your favorite dresses or flowy maxi skirt. Put on a cute top and the long necklace your husband bought you. Once you feel amazing in your outfit, then create an ensemble for the rest of your family to compliment your own.
Wear neutral colors and throw in a print or stripes. Stay away from logos, white t shirts and ballcaps. This is your photo session!
I love helping my clients choose what to wear. You'll have the option of sending me photos and collaborating with me about wardrobe.
